Seasonal land and forest fire has started to escalate at several places in the Province of West Sumatra, Jambi, Central Borneo, and West Borneo. This natural phenomenon has caused trans-boundary haze, affecting adjacent provinces and even neighboring countries, like Malaysia and Singapore.
