Five (5) Provinces in Indonesia are Struggling, Putting Out Seasonal Fire
Seasonal land and forest fire has started to escalate at several places in the Province of West Sumatra, Jambi, Central Borneo, and West Borneo. This natural phenomenon has caused trans-boundary haze, affecting adjacent provinces and even neighboring countries, like Malaysia and Singapore. As of October 18, 2006, several parts of the Province of North Sumatra were also reported to be affected by the haze. more »
